Microsoft and Yahoo have already held talks regarding the takeover before but the recent talk reveals Microsoft urging the takeover. Microsoft had placed, a $44.6 billion bid on Yahoo. The price that Microsoft offers Yahoo is a 62% premium to Yahoo’s stock price on Friday, which is aimed at keeping the rivals away.
